Content Marketing Strategist

As a Content Marketing Strategist, you will be responsible for ideation, strategy, planning and implementation of content marketing initiatives across multiple platforms for various clients. You will extract insights from monthly performance reports to inform strategic recommendations for campaign optimizations and future content marketing initiatives. The Content Marketing Strategist works closely with a variety of functional areas across Rebel to execute on high-impact content marketing initiatives.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate across all Rebel teams to develop effective content marketing strategies, delivering fresh content ideas that meet the client’s business objectives
  • Develop content marketing strategy plans, content calendars and process documents for assigned Rebel clients
  • Create target audience personas backed by research
  • Craft content ideas based on target audience persona insights
  • Manage complex moving parts to orchestrate the implementation of content marketing strategy and plans
  • Keep up to date on the best practices of the main social media channels, which content and approaches work on each and why
  • Conduct performance reporting, insight gathering, and optimization recommendations will be required on an ongoing basis (experience with Google Analytics preferred)
  • Contribute ideas to, creates content for, and helps plan for initiatives directly related to the marketing of Rebel as an agency across a variety of channels (e.g. blog, email, social media, internal communications, Town Hall meetings)
  • In collaboration with the Content Marketing Specialist and creative team, you’ll assist in creating valuable, original, relatable, timely, insightful, and memorable pieces of owned content in the following formats (but not limited to):
    • Long form (website content, blogs, white papers, articles, microsites, eNewsletters)
    • Short form (social media posts, email, text, phone, reviews, user generated content)
    • Visual form (photography, animated GIFs, memes, video, infographics)

 Job Requirements

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • At least 5 years of experience developing content strategies and creating content for digital and social
  • Strategic marketing mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it
  • Ability to analyze and present content and social performance
  • Experience with Google Analytics and the top social channels
  • Effective project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment and focus on the delivery of results
  • Deep knowledge of interactive marketing concepts and best practices related to digital technology, analytics, and content creation, including digital creative
  • Proficiency with graphic design and audio/video editing tools a plus
  • Be a creative visionary and strategic marketer for Rebel and our clients
  • Collaborative, inquisitive, curious mindset a plus; constantly pushing boundaries on new content formats available, trying new techniques and approaches to connecting a target audience to Rebel’s clients
  • Strong writing style and excellent grammatical skills
  • Agile, adept at advanced marketing technologies, and experts at inbound marketing strategy
