ConnectiCare is a health insurance provider based in Farmington, Conn., with a service area that encompasses the entire State of Connecticut; Berkshire, Hampshire, Hampden, Franklin, and parts of Worcester counties in Massachusetts; and Westchester, Rockland, Putnam and Orange counties in New York. They provide individual, family, and Medicare plans.
ConnectiCare was seeking improved organic search performance across multiple websites and was unsure of the barriers to improved performance. They needed diagnostic assistance to understand the problems with their search strategy and recommend optimizations and improvements.
Rebel needed to contend with technical limitations on ConnectiCare’s current web platforms, a poor navigation and user experience across web properties, and no history of SEO work.
We started with an in-depth SEO audit of all five websites simultaneously, as four of them lived on the same domain using subdomains. The audit identified numerous issues including duplicate content across sites, poor backlink portfolios, missing title tags and meta descriptions, and missing structured data markup.
Follow-up tasks from the SEO audit included indexation and technical recommendations, keyword research, writing new meta tags, and SEO training for ConnectiCare’s internal teams. Organic search traffic has increased by over +337% year over year since the SEO audit was delivered and work began.
