Since each publication had a unique workflow, The Bee needed a solution that would work seamlessly for both. For example, the page sizes for Antiques And The Arts Weekly varied each week, so implementing a system that could handle these weekly changes was imperative. Additionally, the system prevented its own staff reporters and photographers from uploading content from external sites, which significantly limited accessibility to staff who worked remotely. Rebel replaced The Bee’s outdated technologies with the cloud-based platform. By utilizing an external host with a web-based interface, editorial staff, reporters and photographers and can now easily upload and publish content remotely. In addition, since both of The Bee’s websites are now on a customizable platform, they can expand in the future and the online publishing systems will not become obsolete, growing with The Bee’s evolving publishing needs. Finally, the cloud-based platform ensures The Bee’s information is secure and has a redundant backup system to protect against loss of critical information.
